Mikael Backlund
Professor Backlund received his BS in Chemistry with a minor in Math from UC Berkeley in 2010, his PhD from Stanford in 2016, and was a postdoc at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics from 2016 to 2020. His research is on quantum-informed molecular microscopy. He is the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, the Beckman Young Investigator Award, and the SSP Starter Grant Award and has been named a Scialog Fellow in Quantum Matter and Information and a National Academy of Sciences Kavli Fellow.
What do you see as the primary benefit to you of archiving your data in a repository?
Archiving our data here helps uphold transparency and scientific integrity. It also doubles as a convenient, readily accessible backup of the loads of imaging data we generated in this latest research project!
